10 examples of low technology that really improve our life.

Technology does not need to be high tech to improve the quality of your life. I believe that you should find the things you value and then find the technology accordingly.

  1. Alarm Clock: I think just because we have alarms in phones, we should not abandon the clocks. I am strictly again keeping the phones in the bedroom.
  2. Text Messaging over WhatsApp: I think I don't need WhatsApp. Most of my needs can be easily achieved via text messaging. So there is no need for me to install WhatsApp.
  3. Books/blogs over Social Media: I am an ideas person and I think that books are still the best way to learn about ideas. Twitter might help me in connecting with similar people but it has negatives. In terms of books, there are no negatives.
  4. No OTT platforms: Entertainment takes away the time that we should spend on ourself or with closed ones.
  5.  Cooking over eating out: The menu of options always confuses me and I think cooking at home is still better than eating out.
  6. One week an episode over binge-watching
  7. Newspapers over web news: I don't want to feel anxious by watching trending news or breaking news. I would prefer a filtered version of events a day later than the events.
  8. Copper Water Bottles over Plastic Bottles.
  9. Physical Sports over Digital games.
  10. Not relying on health devices. I think I will listen to my body than a Fitbit watch telling me to run 10,000 steps a day.
