10 questions to a English language expert:

  1. Is language a way of communication or more than that for you?
  2. If in the future, we have chips in our brains which will convert our thoughts into language, do we really need to learn languages then?
  3. Can you tell me some names which are gender-neutral?
  4. We are seeing a decrease in the reading of literature. What do you think about it?
  5. Do you see your language getting extinct after 10,000 years?
  6. How do you think your language exams should be conducted?
  7. Do you consider Mandarian a language since it is the interaction of different symbols?
  8. If one region has two different official languages and the government has chosen other language than your one as a way of communication, will you resent and how?
  9. In an equally imagined world, do you think we should have only one language?
  10.  Can language have an effect on the personality of children? Consider an experiment where two kids are living in different parts with every other factor except language being similar?
