10 learnings/thoughts about food:


  1. Eat Slowly. You should finish your food in 20 minutes. 
  2. Avoid meat. It is difficult for your body to digest it. 
  3. You should not eat anything 6 hours before doing yoga.
  4. Drink Lemon Water first thing in the morning.
  5. There should be no concept of cheating day.
  6. Dont underestimate the effects of psychological effects of activities like praying before eating, eating in an erect posture. 
  7. Prefer honey over sugar.
  8. Stay away from food advertisements.
  9. If you want to quit some fast food, try to link the food with something disgusting.
  10. Ideally, try to shift towards eating two times a day.
  11. Dont drink cold waters. You should drink which has temperature within a range of your body temperature.
  12. Dont watch news/negative things while eating something. If possible, avoid watching videos at all.
  13. Try to do most of your chewing in the mouth. If you dont do it, the stomach has to spend energies to do it.
  14. Not eating something packed in plastic will also save environment.
  15. Organise everything in your food plate properly. It has psychological effect.
  16. Always eat something at home when going to a city.
  17. Always have a water bottle with you in summers. Sometimes you mistake thirst for hunger.
  18. You can refuse unhealthy foods even if they are made by someone with love. This tiny cheat is like a hole in a big container. It will open up everything.
  19. Your health should be your top priority. 
  20. Be happy when you eat food. you will eat less .
  21. Prefer plants over meat, uncooked over cooked and water over soda .
  22. Dont drink water half an hour before or after the meal.
  23. If you must eat non veg, fish is the best choice. It has omega 3 which is good for brain.
